Summer Trees (2024) captures the essence of summer in full bloom—when life feels both full and free, bursting with color, motion, and a touch of sparkle.

Using handmade papers, magazine clippings, fabric, trim, ribbon, and radiant gold and silver foil, this 10×8” mixed media piece reflects the lush vibrancy of trees at their peak. Sequins and clear gel add a sense of movement and sunlight, dancing across the surface like leaves catching the breeze.

Much like summer itself—busy yet laid-back, alive yet unhurried—Summer Trees invites the viewer to slow down and take in the layered beauty of the season. It’s a joyful celebration of nature’s abundance and the colorful chaos of summertime living.
