Description
We Will Fly (2024) is a visual journey through memory—an invitation to look back not with sorrow or longing, but with reverence. This 14×18” mixed media piece, crafted on wood canvas, blends handmade papers, gold foil, fabric, magazine clippings, ribbon, found objects, and even vintage cards to create a deeply textured landscape of emotion and time.
Each element represents a moment, a story, a whisper from the past—layered not to trap us there, but to remind us of how far we’ve come. The gold foil glints like fragments of memory, illuminating what once was while pointing us toward the present with warmth and clarity.
We Will Fly is about returning—revisiting the chapters that shaped us—without being bound by them. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to carry regret, or dwell in what might have been. The past is part of our story, but the present is where we truly take flight.
