Through the Trees Revisited (2024 is a powerful visual metaphor for navigating life’s complexities. In this 24×24” mixed media work, layers of handmade papers, fabric, ribbon, trim, and shimmering gold foil twist together like a dense thicket of trees—evoking those moments when life feels heavy, tangled, or overwhelming.

At first glance, the trees seem to pull inward, their roots wrapping tight like challenges that threaten to hold us back. But look closer, and you’ll find movement—paths of light, streaks of gold, open spaces between the branches. This is where the meaning lives: you can either be consumed by what entangles you, or choose to walk forward, eyes up, with a resilient heart.
